FAQ
1. What does a non-denominational officiant mean?
A non-denominational officiant is not tied to any specific religion or tradition. I create ceremonies that are personalized to you—whether you’d like something spiritual, completely secular, or a blend of traditions.
2. Do we need to belong to a church or religious group?
Not at all! My services are open to all couples, regardless of faith, background, or belief system.
3. Can we customize our ceremony?
Yes! I offer everything from simple, pre-written scripts to fully personalized ceremonies. You’re encouraged to review our Services page to find the package that best suits your vision.
4. How long is the average ceremony?
Most ceremonies last between 15–30 minutes, depending on the level of personalization and whether you include additional rituals (such as unity ceremonies or readings).
5. Do you attend the rehearsal?
Rehearsal attendance is included in some packages (or can be added to others). I’m happy to walk everyone through the process to ensure your wedding party feels confident.
6. What areas do you serve?
I primarily officiate weddings in the Golden Isles and surrounding South Georgia region, but I may be available for travel depending on your needs. I am licensed in all States.
7. How do we obtain our marriage license?
You are responsible for applying for your marriage license at your local probate court before the wedding. On the day of your ceremony, I will sign it, ensure it’s properly completed, and return it to the court for filing (where required).
8. Is there a deposit required?
Yes, most bookings require a deposit to secure your wedding date, with the remaining balance due prior to the ceremony. Details are provided in the contract.
9. What happens if you can’t make it to our wedding due to an emergency?
In the rare event of an emergency, I will make every effort to secure a qualified backup officiant so your ceremony can proceed as planned.
10. What other services do you offer?
In addition to wedding ceremonies, I’m honored to offer funeral, baptism, and dedication services. Whether you’re celebrating new beginnings, honoring a loved one’s life, or marking a meaningful spiritual milestone, each ceremony is crafted with care, compassion, and respect for your wishes and beliefs.
My goal is to create thoughtful, personal experiences that bring comfort, joy, and connection—no matter the occasion.
